Primary Duties/Responsibilities
Manage and drive the plant level implementation and execution of EHS strategy in order to achieve continuous improvement in EHS compliance and performance for AP manufacturing sites and the region as a whole.
Manage annual goal setting, monitor, analyse and drive EHS performance through auditing, collection of appropriate data and generation of reports. Follow up to assure corrective actions are implemented. Propose strategy adjustments and initiatives as required to achieve appropriate performance level.
Develop and assist the implementation of solutions to problems by working with all relevant stakeholders at global, regional and plant level, and by leveraging identified solutions and best practices.
Develop talent & teams through identifying skills gaps among EHS and other associates necessary for the On-going improvement of EHS performance. Develop and/or support programs to close such gaps and to enhance a "one-team" culture in relation to EHS.
Team-Building, Engagement, provide leadership, guidance and technical support; training of new hires, re-training and special re-inforcement of individual site EHS Managers and EHS associates.
Education/Certifications
???????Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or Engineering. Master's Degree is preferred. CSP, CIH, CHMM, or other certification preferred.
????Experience, knowledge & Skills
At least 10 years experience in EHS related job function(s).
At least 5 years facility level experience managing safety/EHS in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Experience working in a multi-site, multi-country operation.
Prior experience in managing a team/network of distributed associates working On a common subject is advantageous.
Knowledge of: (1) EH&S regulations and state of the art practices in each country of the Region. (2) Governmental practices and policies. (3) Adult learning practices.
Ability to: (1) Develop, organize and direct programs. (2) Sell ideas. (3) Work effectively with all levels of management and staff. (4) Effectively communicate by written, oral and presentations.
Fluent in English and One other relevant language.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EHS data management systems.
